Please keep reading and recording it on Boom Reader. You can also practise your maths on TTRS or Numbots, and have a go at spelling your year group words to help you when writing in Term 5. (see link below).

Spelling

Here are the Year 2 common exception words that children in England are expected to be able to spell by the end of Year 2.

To keep practising the number bonds and multiplication skills taught in class, and challenging yourself to keep the ones you already know fresh, don’t forget to log into your Numbots or Times Tables Rockstars account. Reading

Please ensure you hear your child read regularly and record on Boom Reader using the parent app on your tablet/mobile no more than once a week:

You can record their school reading book or a book they are enjoying from home. 

Children who have a class reading book should bring this book to and from school each day. When they have finished reading their current book, children are asked to complete a quiz before choosing the next one:

Children who have a Read Write Inc. book sent home on Friday with speed sounds to practise are asked to bring these back in on Wednesdays.
