We’ve had a fantastic week of learning and exploring together!
In English, the children have been working on the story Hansel and Gretel. We’ve focused on sequencing the main events, helping everyone to think carefully about what happens first, next, and last in a story.
In Maths, we’ve been learning all about 2D and 3D shapes. The children have been identifying and naming shapes and talking about their properties. You can help at home by spotting 3D shapes in everyday objects — for example, a cereal box is a cuboid, and a ball is a sphere!
In Geography, we looked at aerial photographs and learned how to spot human and physical features. The children really enjoyed comparing different landscapes and talking about what they could see from above.
In PE, we have been exploring dance, learning to move in time to the music and count steps carefully. The children are beginning to put together short sequences of movements to create their own dances!

Well done to everyone for another busy and fun week of learning!
