Week commencing 20.4.26
A warm welcome back to Berkshire! The children have settled brilliantly into school and we have been excited about our learning this week.
English - We have been exploring our new text 'The Lonely Beast', looking at the definition of 'lonely' and 'journey'. The children also made some great predictions about what the Beast is going to do next! We can't wait to see what happens in the story.
Maths - We have started our new topic of multiplication and division and began the week by counting in 2s. The children have also counted in 10s and 5s and we will be exploring recognising and adding equal groups.
History - The children have learned about timelines and looking at the history of Southborough school. We have also looked at time words and phrases (here, now, then, yesterday, last week, last year, years ago and a long time ago) and use them in a sentence.
Art - The children learned about transient art and used natural materials to make some fantastic weather symbols.
Well done Berkshire for a great first week back!
PE is on Wednesdays and Thursdays.
