Year 1 Home Learning

For this week’s home learning, please continue using the packs that were sent home last week. It has been wonderful to hear from parents about the positive impact they have been having.

The sounds or sets of sounds that your child needs to focus on will be highlighted within the pack. Please try to work on these, we recommend short, frequent sessions of no longer than 10 minutes. If you are unsure of the sounds, please  use the QR codes below.

We would love your child to pick one of their sound focuses and draw a picture, e.g. 'oa' the goat is in a boat on the moat! Thank you for your continued support, we are proud of how hard the children are working.

W/C 10/06/2026

This week, Berkshire Class have had a wonderful week of learning.

In English, the children have been exploring the new book Claude at the Circus, and wrote thoughtful character descriptions and questions to ask Claude and Sir Bobbly sock!

In Maths, we finished our topic of position and direction and have begun place value within 100.

In Science, the children have been learning about animals and their body parts by drawing and labelling different species.

As part of our wider learning, we have been reflecting on special “wow moments” – times when we have felt a sense of awe and wonder. The children have shared these spiritual experiences and added them to our Wow Wall.

PE is on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
