Welcome Back! 

This week Cheshire have come back to school ready to work hard; in Maths we have started the Multiplication and Division unit and we have been practising counting in 2s, 5s and 10s and we have begun to learn about equal and unequal groups.

In English this week we have had the opportunity to explore two new books 'Journey' by Aaron Becker and 'The Lonely Beast' by Chris Judge. Our focus has been defining new vocabulary (journey and lonely), using conjunctions and making predictions. 

Timelines were our focus in history; we looked at events that happened to the school in the past and we ordered these chronologically. Also, we practised using time words, for example, yesterday, today, tomorrow, weeks ago and a long time ago.

This week in art, we had the opportunity to explore transient artists and their work. Then, we got to make our own transient art pieces using natural and human materials. Did you know that transient art is only temporary?

Please don't forget that this term we have Forest School on Thursday afternoons! Additionally the QR codes for the RWInc sounds have been updated, please use these to help your child with the sounds.
