This week has been another wonderful week of learning. In maths we have continued measuring and comparing capacity and volume using water, sand and cubes. The children can describe volume using words and phrases such as empty, full and half full and nearly empty. Can you compare the capacity of different containers around your home? Which would hold more water a tea cup or a sauce pan?
In English we are beginning to write poems about hummingbirds using new and adventurous vocabulary we have been learning this term. Ask your children to tell you what they know about hummingbirds this week!
In Science we were weather reporters and meteorologists. We observed and described the weather and made our own weather forecasts. The children really enjoyed learning about the equipment, including satellites, scientists use to predict the weather.
Just a reminder that PE is on Tuesday and Wednesday each week this term.
Below you can find some helpful documents to support your children with new vocabulary they may use this term.
