Spirituality Home Learning Project
Please see this document for details of an exciting whole school project that we would like the children and families to take part in for home learning over the half term break.
We would like children to bring their findings in to school by Wednesday 29th October please.
Another Fantastic Week in Shropshire 2!
As we wrap up the term, we’ve had a week full of creativity, curiosity, and collaboration.
In English, we’ve been using our senses to imagine the magical experience of watching a meteor shower.
The children have worked brilliantly to bring their ideas to life using powerful adjectives, exciting vocabulary, and the present tense to paint vivid pictures in their writing.
In Maths, we’ve been building our subtraction skills, especially focusing on subtracting from two-digit numbers. The children have been learning how to exchange and use number lines to help them subtract across a ten. It’s been fantastic to see their confidence growing as they begin to apply these strategies independently.
In Art, we turned our attention to reflection and evaluation. The children looked closely at their still life pieces, considering their choices in composition, texture, and colour. They spoke thoughtfully about what worked well and what they could try differently next time.
In Science, we became young investigators, exploring the best method for washing our hands. Through a fun and hands-on experiment, the children discovered that warm water and soap are the most effective at cleaning. They loved making predictions and observing the outcomes – a real highlight!
As we head into the break, we want to say a heartfelt thank you for all your support this term. The children have shown such enthusiasm, curiosity, and determination in their learning – we’re incredibly proud of the progress they’ve made so far.
Wishing you a restful and happy break,
The Shropshire 2 Team 🌟
