Curriculum Overview

What a fun and engaging week we've had in Year 1!

 

Our imaginations soared this week after we discovered a mysterious dragon egg in our classroom! The children did a wonderful job writing creatively about what might be inside. In Physical Education we focused on essential ball skills, practicing both throwing and catching with good enthusiasm. In maths we've been delving into part-part-whole models to explore finding a missing part, and have also been focusing on accurate number formation. Inspired by Zog the dragon, we became young scientists! The children carried out their own investigations to design a suitable coat for Zog to wear in different weather conditions.

Have a lovely and restful half-term break! We look forward to seeing the children back in class the week after next.

 

Spirituality Home Learning Project

 

Please see this document for details of an exciting whole school project that we would like the children and families to take part in for home learning over the half term break. 

We would like children to bring their findings in to school by Wednesday 29​​th October please.

 

 

Our Weekly Timetable: 

In Term 1 PE is on Wednesday and Thursday; please note PE kit should be brought in on Monday and will be returned on Friday.

RWI books will be sent home on Friday. Please return them the following Thursday so your child can receive a new book on Friday.
