Online Advent Calendar
As Advent begins this Sunday with Advent Sunday celebrated in Churches, we would like to share this online Advent Calendar with you, produced by the Diocese of Guildford. It explores the Christmas story through Christian artwork, investigating a different artist and aspect of the story throughout the term time days of Advent. Please enjoy sharing this with your family as we prepare for Christmas in school and at home.
Curriculum Overview
Forest School- Term 2
Please note on a Thursday afternoon this term, Cheshire 1 will have Forest School; they will need to wear long-sleeve, warm clothes with wellies and mud suits.
Week 6
WC 8.12.25
What a wonderful week we’ve had in Cheshire Class! We are continuing with our new maths topic on place value to 20, this week we have been focusing on finding one more or one less than numbers within 20 and putting numbers on a number line.
In English, the children have been writing recounts of building their dens in our most recent DT lesson. We made sure to sequence the events in the correct order otherwise our recount will not make sense!
In Geography we have been recapping the terms, physical feature and human feature. The children remembered that a human feature was man-made and a physical feature is natural. We then practised using this knowledge to go on a trip around the school spotting both types of feature.
Thank you for supporting the children with their home learning, it has been lovely seeing the wonderful work they have produced.
Not long until the Nativity! The children are very excited and we thank you for helping them learn their lines in preparation for the performance. A quick reminder that costumes need to be handed in by Friday 5th December, thank you.
Well done to everyone for another busy and fantastic week of learning.
