Berkshire have enjoyed a lovely final full week together!
In English, the children designed their own circus tents and circus acts to perform! They will be writing a narrative about a trip to the circus.
In Maths, they completed their learning on telling the time. In Science, they created a fact file on woodlice and in History, they learnt about Samuel Wilderspin, a significant figure in Victorian times.
Next week, the children will be getting hands-on in DT and cooking lessons by making a salad and a sandwich. The children will be practising important food preparation skills, including chopping, slicing, and mashing. We will be using foods such as carrots, lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, celery and peppers to make a delicious salad! For the sandwich, the children will have the choice of three fillings: ham, cheese and jam.
It has been a wonderful year teaching your children and seeing them progress and achieve. We have loved getting to know them and look forward to seeing them continue to flourish in Year 2.
Thank you so much for your continued support throughout the year. We hope you all have a wonderful, restful summer holiday!
With love,
Mrs Bullen and Miss Osborne.
Important Reminder: PE kits will be sent home on Thursday 16th July. Please could children bring in a plastic bag for their completed books on Thursday 16th July, thank you.
