This week in Suffolk 1: 

What a fantastic week we have had in Suffolk 1!

Maths: This week, we have started our new topic of addition and subtraction. The children have been exploring part-whole models and using these to write addition sentences.

English: The children have been busy planning and organising a special tea party for Egg Box Dragon! They have thought carefully about their theme and planned some delicious cakes and treats to make the tea party extra special. 

History: We have been learning about decades and what this word means. The children created their own timelines, exploring the decades from the 1950s through to the 2020s.

Science: The children have been investigating different materials to help them design a suitable coat for Egg Box Dragon. They have been testing materials and thinking carefully about which would be best for keeping him warm and dry.

It has been a fantastic week, and we are so proud of the children’s enthusiasm and hard work!
