Week beginning 6th July
In English, we have almost finished reading Varjak Paw. The class are very excited to find out what happens in the last chapter and have made some interesting predictions. Will any of them be correct? They'll have to wait and see!
In Maths, we have moved onto coordinates. The class have worked hard to read and plot coordinates on a grid and are now using their knowledge of polygons to draw 2D shapes using coordinates. After a brief recap on the different types of triangles and quadrilaterals, they were flying through the questions.
In History, we have started looking at the Indus Valley civilisation and comparing it to Ancient Sumer and Ancient Egypt. The main question the class have so far: Why did it only last for 800 years?
This is an example timetable of what a typical week in Devon will look like.
PE is on Tuesday and Wednesday this term.
