I hope you all had a lovely half term and made the most of the sunshine! It seems to be leaving us now and is making way for storm clouds and rain; at least the plants in my garden are happy!
It has been so good to be at school and see some of your faces again this week, although getting used to the new routines has been interesting (I have sent children to break and lunch at the wrong time at least once this week!). For those not in school, it has been lovely to speak to you on the phone and in the daily chats. I have enjoyed hearing what you have been up to at home, how hard you have been working and even hearing some of the work you have produced!
I've also enjoyed reading through your STEM projects this week. There was a wide range of innovative paper aeroplane designs and I could tell you had a lot of fun trying them out!
This week at school, we have started reading a new class text called 'The Silver Sword' by Ian Serraillier. It is set in Poland during the Second World War and we've been reflecting on the key events happening across Europe at the time. I know that many of you have been enjoying the history topic of the World Wars with your online work so perhaps you might like to try this book too?
I hope you all have a relaxing weekend. Fingers crossed the sun decides to come out again!
