Class Poetry Performances

National Poetry Day is the mass celebration of poetry that takes place on the first Thursday in October each year. Everyone is encouraged to write, perform or share poetry with friends and family. Across the UK, schools and libraries engage in activities to celebrate poetry's power to bring people together.

This year's theme for National Poetry Day was the environment. Children across the country were invited to find or write a poem about something they'd like to change or praise about the environment. At Southborough, each class rehearsed and performed an environment-themed poem of their choosing. You can access these videos below.
